As a Senior Design Director for Fjord, Linda manages the Public Sector portfolio in Fjord’s Chicago studio. She is passionate about social impact and public sector work, including government, non-profit and regulated industries like utilities. Linda’s proudest moments as a designer include contributing to projects as diverse as; designing a mechanical Braille writer, to creating strategies for solar energy adoption, to working within a data science team focused on reducing infant mortality in the state of Ohio.
Linda’s work has taken her to India, China and Uganda, where she has designed for companies and non-profits that aspired to put people at the heart of their creations. She has taught at IIT’s Institute of Design as an adjunct professor and at UIC’s School of Design as a Visiting Professor. Linda is currently a lecturer at the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy.
Above all, Linda is a designer whose practice centers on learning, thinking and making.
