The founder of Impact Toolbox had previously co-founded a successful dental care business and a non-profit – Sozo Networks in Nigeria. For the past 5 years, through the Sozo Networks, our team has implemented multiple youth development projects funded by the U.S. Embassy, philanthropic organizations and hundreds of private donors. We worked directly with social entrepreneurs and reached over 12,000 youths through conferences, bootcamps and workshops. We have created an effective curriculum for training emerging social entrepreneurs to launch and scale their ventures. We have trained over 1,300 social entrepreneurs through learning boot camps, idea incubation programs and strategy sessions. In total, our program alumni have raised over $700,000 for their organizations and continue to transform their communities’ socio-economic landscapes. We have helped more than 20 social ventures launch and grow in impact. Our bootcamps in Nigeria receive overwhelming number of applications but we only had capacity to train train a few participants onsite. Seeing the success of our training programs and the tractions generated, we decided to go virtual with the Impact Toolbox. We want to make our curriculum and training experiences available online to rapidly increase our reach and impact.
As you grow, lift others. “Becoming” is not an end but a means to fulfill your purpose

Who we are & What we do
Impact Toolbox is building to become Africa’s largest ecosystem for young social entrepreneurs and the number one go to place for vetted social ventures with high growth potentials. It is a digital incubation platform that provides youths and emerging social entrepreneurs with the opportunity to learn, network, and access funding to transform their ideas for social change into viable social ventures. We are a sustainable non-profit setting out to train 26,000 social entrepreneurs and discover and provide prototype funding to 165 social ventures in 5 years.
Impact Toolbox is harnessing the African youth demographic dividend by empowering young people to create viable ventures that address social challenges in their communities. Our goal is to put youths at the forefront of innovation and socioeconomic development in Africa. It achieves this by democratizing learning opportunities, discovering and supporting legitimate social ventures with high growth potentials, and nurturing an online ecosystem of social entrepreneurs with our continuous programming and networking opportunities.
Using our platform, anyone with an idea for social change and access to the internet, will be able to learn and develop their ideas at an affordable price point. An enrollee will go through a 3-month online training curated and developed by experts with deep experiences in social entrepreneurship in emerging economies. The online training is fortified with compulsory peer-to-peer feedbacks and weekly sector expert series conducted by successful local entrepreneurs who can provide insights about running businesses in the same climate. After the 3-month online training, our team of experts reviews all developed business plans and selects ventures with highest potential for growth and impact. The founders of the selected ventures would be connected to mentors (for one-on-one coaching) for 6 months and be provided with a small amount of prototype funding ($1000 – $3000). Impact Toolbox strives to provide all the resources needed so that the selected ventures will be able to launch their products within 1 year and be ready for bigger opportunities.
All our learners, including the ones who have not been selected for our prototype funding, becomes a part of our large online ecosystem of social entrepreneurs. On this ecosystem, everyone will continue to share resources, network with one another, and provide peer support, and cheer each other on leading changes in their communities.
